Here is a screenshot from the manual showing that actual pulses (rising edges) are required for the driver to recognize each step.
This doesn't appear to be compatible with the "Quadrature Mode" of the KFLOP as described in the help, but I am hoping that I am wrong or that there is another mode that works with CW/CCW.
